So, me and my grandmother (
) recently put up her new smart bird feeder. She bought it from the world’s most popular online store Amazon.com. Ok, maybe not the world’s most popular store, but I bet it's pretty close to that. So far it seems like a great smart bird feeder. It is a HARYMOR smart bird feeder it usually cost from anywhere to $95-$190 just depends if it goes on sale. The 2K live view camera is very nice! It provides great videos and photos too.Setting up the smart feeder:
Here I was attaching the bird feeder platform. That way the birds have a nice place to perch while feeding on some yummy seeds.
Then we got the green lid put on top to protect the bird food from the environment. It went on very snug.
Now we have the platform and lid on. It’s time to connect it to the WiFi, it was quick and easy to connect to the WiFi. Now to the next step, mounting it to the desired place.
So, first thing we did was mount the solar panel to the desired area (in this case it was a building). Be sure to mount the solar panel bracket flush to the area you are attaching it to. Then point the solar panel in a direction that gets the most sunlight all day long. This helps the smart bird feeder keep a good charge.
Then we mounted the bird feeder bracket to the building. After mounting the smart bird feeder to the building, we connected the solar panel cord to the bird feeder cord, that way the solar panel would keep the smart bird feeder fully charged.
We just wrapped the left-over cord that was hanging down around the bird feeder mounting bracket. As you can see the smart bird feeder has an antenna so that it can connect to the WiFi.
Now that the bird feeder is finally up, it is time to put some bird seed in it and hope we get some bird friends to visit the feeder.
Yay!! We got the bird food poured into the smart bird feeder.
Now it is time to play the waiting game.
Final Results:
We had our first visit from our bird friends after a day of waiting. It did not take them very long at all to find the new feeder. Now I’ll share a few videos we got of some birds.
Our first bird the European Starling. For some reason it just had to be a European Starling 😂.
Then our second bird was a male House Sparrow.
Finally, the third bird a one that is pretty. That is an adult male House Finch.
For our fourth bird it is wonderful female Rose-breasted Grossbeak.
